Argh, the mountains of north Wales are beasts! Although the likes of Pen Y Fan and Corn Du can rub shoulders with most of them as far as height is concerned, Snowdon and it’s neighbours are rockier, rougher, and definitely have more of a serious mountain feel about them.  We climbed Snowdon as part of my birthday-holiday-treat week recently, and it was very hard going but 100% worth it.  Battle your way to the top and (so long as it’s clear) you’ll be treated to views stretching from the Llyn peninsula in the west, to Liverpool in the east, and all of Anglesey to the north.  South, you can see for approximately one million miles.  And there’s the special experience of trying to stand on top of the trig point with about forty other people, before queueing for half an hour in the cafe for some very reasonably priced hot chocolate.

Special thanks go to the nice lady who brought me the hot chocolate in the cafe at the top, as I was too poor to afford one each for me and Becky.  enjoy the pics.
